Humans of Hindustan is born out of our love for People, Portraits, and Storytelling. We believe every person has a story, and a portrait should express part of that story. Portraits are the best way to capture the essence, emotion, or spirit of a persona or place. But when combined with the art of storytelling, they mature like a bottled wine (raise a toast?).

Namaskar Hindustaniyon! I am Prashant Joshi – the human behind Humans of Hindustan.

Back in the summer of 2019, when I used to work for a media agency in Delhi, I got the opportunity to cover employee stories for one of the upcoming digital campaigns. It was while listening to their life endeavors and future aspirations I realized that nothing in the world is more powerful than a good story. It unites people in a way nothing else can. It made me believe that there’s a human in all of us who is made of hope, love, and goodness. We are so used to suppress it in this worldly world that we have almost forgotten it. It was my ‘Eureka’ moment. At once, I set out on the mission – To revive that ‘Human’ in people. Telling stories that remind them that goodness still exists in this materialistic world.

Through Humans of Hindustan, my attempt is to lead us into the future – the future of goodness & Humanity, one story at a time!”
